Why People Aren't Signing Up on Your Landing Page...

You spend hours crafting the perfect Facebook Ad, Pinterest Pin and landing page.

Are getting a ton of traffic but hardly any opt-ins...

Probably makes you want to scream "What don't you want this?"

As frustrating as it can be, there's hope. We just need to do a little detective works to figure out the problem.

When someone tells me they're having issues getting opt-ins from advertising the first thing I get them to check is if the ad matches the landing page they're sending people too.

Is there a disconnect?

It can be as simple as the colours and imagery not matching.

Or maybe the copy is NOT clear enough so they think it's something else?

Why people aren't signing up on your landing page

If people don't see what they clicked through to get, they'll click away.

>>So first things first. Make sure your ad copy and images match your landing page copy and images. That there's no disconnect that would confuse someone clicking through and make them think it's something else.

>>Also make sure your copy is crystal clear for what you're offering and for whom you want to attract.

Basically, is your ad copy attracting the right leads for what you're offering?

Or is your ad copy confusing people and attracting people who think they might want it, but aren't sure so they click through and find out it's not for them.

>>Another thing I've found from testing is, shorter landing pages tend to work better for lead magnets.

The theory behind this is people don't want to read a ton of text when they click through to get your lead magnet. Keep your landing pages short and sweet.

Longer text works better for sales pages and trip wire pages where there's more convincing to be done before they hand over their money.

Two more things to consider....

>>Do you know who your ideal customer is?

Their wants, needs, problems, interests, etc. If you don't, then your copy is not going to hit the mark to get that opt-in.

Take some time to sit down and figure out who is your ideal customer. Ask people who would be your ideal customer. Send a survey out to your list. Check what people are saying in Facebook groups specific to your industry for your topic.

>>Are you attracting the right people (or targeting the right people) with your advertising?

Double check your ads are targeting the right people. If your targeting is off but you have a cool headline, you might still be getting clicks, but then they hit your page and realize it's not for them.
